Hair Inspiration & DIY: Easy Chignon Updo

Stylist Michael Angelo shows an easy-to-do chignon for Daily Candy. This look was specifically recommended for a wedding day, but I think it could be perfect for any day or event. I love the relaxed, casual feel of this look (so that rain or heat will not bother you). More good news? It's super easy to do at home!

Step 1: Make a ponytail after you've dried your hair. Hair doesn't have to be perfectly smooth or straight. This look is going for beachy summer feel, so some curls and volume are desirable.
Step 2: Divide the hair in the ponytail onto two sections. You can put some product on each section for extra hold. Twist the hair slightly and then push slightly towards the roots, for extra volume.
Step 3: Wrap the two sections in opposite directions (one after the other). Secure in place with bobby pins and voilĂ ! A lovely chignon!
